'Gridlock' is an award-winning thriller set during a traffic jam on a country road. When Eoin's young daughter Emma goes missing from their car, he forms a desperate search party to find her. But as panic takes hold among the other drivers, the search for a missing girl quickly descends into a frenzied witch-hunt, where no one is above suspicion.

Moe Dunford

Moe Dunford appears as the recurring lead role of Aethelwulf opposite Linus Roache and Travis Fimmel in the hit TV series VIKINGS for History Channel/MGM. Moe was awarded the IFTA for Best Supporting Actor, TV Drama 2015 for his work across three seasons of VIKINGS. Season 5 of VIKINGS will appear in late 2017.
Moe is currently appearing in John Butler’s feature film HANDSOME DEVIL opposite Andrew Scott, directed by John Butler and produced by Treasure Films. Moe recently appeared on THE FLAG with Pat Shortt, directed by Declan Recks and produced by Treasure Films for release in 2017. He will soon appear in Frank Berry’s feature film MICHAEL INSIDE, in THE LODGERS directed by Brian O’Malley for Tailored Films and in BLACK 47, directed by Lance Daly for Fastnet Films and starring Hugo Weaving and Jim Broadbent – all due for release in 2017.
Moe was awarded the IFTA 2015 for Best Lead Actor for his role as Patrick in PATRICK’S DAY directed by Terry McMahon. He was nominated for the prestigious Bingham Ray New Talent Award at the Galway Film Fleadh 2014 for his work on this movie which won the Best Feature Award at the same festival and Moe was chosen as a Shooting Star for Ireland at the Berlin International Film Festival 2015. Moe also won the award for best actor at the Hell’s Half Mile Film Festival in Michigan amongst several other international awards and nominations. Moe also picked up Best Actor for his lead role in PATRICK’S DAY at the 11th edition of ÉCU – The European Independent Film Festival.

Steve Wall’s credits include: the role of Detective Coleman in the major RTE drama series REBELLION set against the backdrop of Ireland’s 1916 Easter Rising. He played the smooth baddie Dominic Fitzroy in the first two episodes of season three of the global crime drama CROSSING LINES starring Donald Sutherland. For the BBC he completed SILENT WITNESS, aired in January 2015, in which he plays a major role. In VIKING” he played the scheming Einar in seasons two, three and four and he played the original Mountie, Sam Steele, in two seasons of AN KLONDIKE for TG4, now on Netflix as DOMINION CREEK. Steve landed a significant, recurring role as Danny Moone in all three series of the Chris O’Dowd comedy MOONE BOY for Sky Television and completed the horror film DARK TOUCH (2013) by the French director Marina de Van. In Sept 2015 he won Best Actor in a Leading Role at the San Diego Horror Film Festival for his role as Peter in the short film GHOST TRAIN (2013) along with starring in the horror film NAILS to be released theatrically in June 2017.
Steve is also known as the lead singer and songwriter with legendary Irish bands THE WALLS and THE STUNNING.

Peter’s film and television credits include the role of Toss in the feature film THE DRUMMER AND THE GOALKEEPER directed by Nick Kelly, Seán in the TG4 series WRECKING THE RISING, Ian Power’s feature film THE GUARANTEE, the role of Brendan Boyle opposite Gabriel Byrne in the BBC’s three-part mini-series QUIRKE, the lead role of Alex in the feature GET UP AND GO alongside Killian Scott, and his regular and extremely popular role as Fran on the critically-acclaimed RTÉ drama LOVE/HATE.
Peter won an Irish Film and Television Award for Best Supporting Actor – Television in 2014 for his portrayal of Fran.
Ian Hunt Duffy
Having graduated from The National Film School in Ireland with a BA in Film
and Television Production, Ian set up his own production company in Dublin called Fail Safe Films. Over the last 6 years, Fail Safe has established itself as one of the leading producers of online video content in Ireland, while also gaining a reputation for award-winning short films and music videos.
In 2012, Ian produced the Filmbase/RTÉ short film ‘Small Time’ which won numerous awards at home and abroad, including the Best Comedy Award at the Fastnet Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Science Fiction & Fantasy Film Festival in Seattle. At that time, Ian also directed the online comedy series ‘Talk It Out’ as part of RTÉ Storyland.
In 2015, Ian produced the IFTA Nominated and Academy Award® long-listed ‘Love is a Sting’ for Filmbase and RTÉ. Narrated by Ciarán Hinds and written by Academy Award® winner Benjamin Cleary, the film is an ambitious mix of live action and animation that won the Grand Prix Irish Short at the Cork Film Festival in 2015, along with the Best Foreign Film Award at the LA Shorts Fest and the Transcedence Award at the Savannah Film Festival in 2016.
Ian’s latest short film is ‘Gridlock’, a thriller he directed starring Moe Dunford and Peter Coonan that was also IFTA nominated for Best Short Film and won the Grand Prix Irish Short Award at the 2016 Cork Film Festival and the Best Irish Short Award at the Foyle Film Festival, placing it on the long-list for the Academy Awards® in 2018. ‘Gridlock’ also won the Most Inspiring Short Film Award at the Boston Irish Film Festival and Best Short Film at the Irish Film Festa in Rome in 2017.
Ian recently won a Young Director Award (YDA) in Cannes for ‘Gridlock’, and is currently developing his first feature film as a director, a thriller called ‘Double Blind’.
Simon Doyle
Simon Doyle is a producer and founder of Fail Safe Films, a Dublin based production company. His expertise lies in discovering new and emerging writers and directors and guiding them through the development of short and feature films from script to screen. Over the years Simon has produced numerous award-winning short films, screening all over the world, including ‘Gridlock’ and ‘The Note’ starring Aidan Gillen (‘Game Of Thrones’).
In 2015, Simon produced his first feature film ‘In View’, written and directed with long-time collaborator Ciaran Creagh. The film had a successful festival run, screening at acclaimed film festivals such as Rhode Island, Mannheim Heidelberg, and Tallinn Black Knights and had a theatrical release in Ireland in 2017. Building on this success, Simon received funding from the Irish Film Board for Ciaran’s next feature film, which will be a co-production with Poland. Simon has a slate of three additional feature films that he is developing with some of Ireland’s most exciting talent, with a view to defining Fail Safe Films as one of Ireland’s leading film production companies.
Darach McGarrigle
Darach McGarrigle is a Dublin based writer and comedian. His work has previously been selected for the Berlinale Talent Campus, the BAFTA-Rocliffe New Writing Forum and the ENGAGE Co-Production Workshop. He specialises in the thriller genre and themes of paranoia and suspicion. His films keep the audience on edge with a fast pace, lots of twists and turns, and a black sense of humour.
As a comedian he is a regular at all the big clubs in Ireland. He has performed at the Vodafone Comedy Carnival and was a finalist in the Laughter Lounge "Ireland's Got Comedy Talent" Contest 2017.
His most recent short film 'Gridlock' has screened at festivals all over the world, winning over 10 awards to date. It was nominated for an IFTA Award for Best Short Film and is long-listed for the 2018 Academy Awards in the Live Action Short Film category. Darach currently has a number of feature length screenplays in development, including the thriller 'Double Blind'.
